ACAS is an independent public body that receives funding from the government. The organisation provides free advice to employers, employees and their representatives regarding their rights, policies, and disputes.
ACAS were already using Project Online for around 60-70 large projects across the organisation. However, they no longer had the internal resources to monitor and configure the application.
In order to manage these projects effectively, they needed a new set of Portfolio dashboards, as well as re-configured Power BI reports to be able to get additional data from the system.
The environment needed refreshing, and training was needed for colleagues to then be able to update and manage the new environment with ease.
To enhance data visualisation for projects across the organisation, iCoTech built a new set of Power BI dashboards that were branded and met their requirements. This also enabled ACAS to see the progress of projects and make decisions using up-to-date reports.
iCoTech also provided training for colleagues to be able to configure and update the Project Online themselves, allowing them to manage the requirements they need instantaneously and without using third parties.
Following iCoTech’s training and implementation of Project Online and Power BI, ACAS gained several benefits:
- ACAS are now able to use the tool more actively, they are able to configure, customise, update and maintain the tool.
- No longer manually creating reports, these are done automatically and updated in real-time.
- Decision makers have a high-level view of the projects and portfolios progressing across the organisation, allowing them to make decisions more quickly and accurately.
