The Client
The Office for National Statistics is a non-ministerial department which reports directly to the UK Parliament through the UK Statistics Authority. ONS is responsible for producing and publicising UK statistics to contribute to serving the public good.
The Challenge
ONS had a requirement for better Project Portfolio Management solutions, with several stakeholders engaged in Portfolio delivery. They did not know how to migrate to a new solution or where to focus.
The Solution
As PPM experts, iCoTech conducted a 10-day discovery exercise. Within this time, we met with 63 individuals across ONS, hosted 21 hours of workshops and created 1,117 digital sticky notes on a digital collaboration tool to refine the requirements.
This discovery exercise enabled us to categorise and highlight the requirements needed in a systematic approach, to create a PPM solution.
The Results
Following this 10-day discovery exercise, iCoTech delivered a document outcome summarising their requirement for a PPM solution to deliver across ONS.
