Established in 1919, the Bettys and Taylors Group is home to three iconic Yorkshire brands: Bettys, Yorkshire Tea and Taylors of Harrogate. An independent family business, the firm employs more than 1500 staff and has an estimated revenue of £208m.
Bettys and Taylors hosted thousands of documents from 16 different departments in SharePoint on premise. The on-premise application was aging structure with limited features and documents set up in an illogical approach.
They needed to migrate to SharePoint online, which is a cloud service, but did not have the capacity or skills internally to perform the migration securely and efficiently.
iCoTech carried out this migration, ensuring that all documents were transferred to the cloud service securely and systematically. These documents were migrated in an organised and structured approach to ensure they were easily accessible to each department soon after the migration.
Community pages were also created for Bettys and Taylors to be able to collaborate on projects within the SharePoint application. We also introduced colleagues to the new features available on SharePoint Online, such as meta data tagging and enhanced permission models.
