The Client
Learning Disability Wales is a charitable organisation who enable people with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible by providing them with advice, training and support. Their mission is to “Create a Wales that values and includes every child, young person and adult with a learning disability”.
The Challenge
Due to remote working, Learning Disability Wales were presented with the challenge of ensuring that colleagues stayed connected with ease. They needed a fully configured, secure application where they could collaborate and navigate around easily.
The organisation already had a Microsoft 365 license and access to Microsoft Teams, however, they had no capability to configure the system and train users in how to use it safely and effectively.
The Solution
iCoTech delivered a training course to 30 colleagues across the organisation over a series of four workshops. The four workshops focused on different aspects of Teams, including management, collaboration, document storage, understanding channels and application integration.
The course was an interactive knowledge sharing session, enabling the colleagues to ask questions throughout. The course was also recorded to be used for training new employees, to ensure there is mutual understanding of Teams across the entire organisation going forward.
The Results
As a result of the Teams training course, Learning Disability Wales have now acquired the following benefits:
- All colleagues are now able to use Teams in a safe and secure way.
- Organisation-wide knowledge and understanding of using Microsoft Teams for all purposes.
- Resources to use for future employees for Microsoft Teams training.
